  1. Traffic Alert: SJ Bike Party starts in Santa Clara tonight (Friday, Sept. 15th) ~ 7:30-8:45pm will be the worst! says:

It’s a fun ride by starting after 7:00 pm a LOT of cars and trucks full of bikes are going to descend on Pruneridge Shopping Center! Especially starting at 7:30. I think the ride starts a bit after 8:00 pm and according to their website, they are going leave via Pruneridge and take an immediate left onto Saratoga toward the university and our former downtown! That will be a disaster at Pruneridge and Saratoga.

Plus, the parking lot is NOT big enough for this ride! Very good if 100 riders, but if there are 1,000 riders and hundreds of cars? That’s the wrong location for this!
    .
I’ve been on these rides and 80% know how to ride. The rest are various kinds of unaware to ignorant to brazenly stupid about the rules of the road.

Looks like it hits SJ (Willow Glen) and Campbell (downtown) so it should be a fun ride.
