What do we think will be the biggest race on the June ballot? This may surprise you. We’ve written a lot about the County Supervisor’s race to succeed Ken Yeager in District Four. But we think the big story on election night will be about a contest.
The recall of Judge Aaron Persky will get Bay Area coverage election night. And maybe national coverage, too.
Persky is the judge who sentenced Stanford student and swimmer Brock Turner in a highly publicized rape case two years ago. Turner was convicted of sexual assault and given six months in jail, three years of probation, and had to register as a sex offender.
Public outrage at the sentence led to a recall campaign that collected approximately 95,000 signatures to get it on the June 2018 ballot. They needed about 60,000 valid signatures.
In the Supervisors’ race, two candidates have endorsed the recall: Santa Clara City Councilman Dominic Caserta and San Jose Councilman Don Rocha.
But Caserta has been way more effective than Rocha in pushing out his endorsement. Kudos to Caserta.
According to the campaign, he’s sent out a couple tweets about his support of the recall. Caserta also taped a Facebook video standing with Michele Dauber, the Stanford professor who leads the recall campaign.
Here’s word for word what Caserta said in the video.
I’m here with with Professor Michele Dauber of Law [sic] at Stanford University and the chair of the Recall from [sic] Aaron Persky campaign that has got over [sic] 100,000 signatures — truly a grassroots movement of our county to recall Aaron Persky.
And the reason why I’m passionately endorsing this is our legal must protect women of [sic] sexual assault and domestic violence. We cannot standby and let judges protect privileged perpetrators instead of innocent women of [sic] sexual assault and domestic violence.
I believe campus rape is rape — end of story.
This is in the hands of you the voters. This is a grassroots movement. I hope you join Michelle and I [sic] and please visit the website: RecallPersky.com.
Join us in this majoritarian [sic] grass roots effort. We stand by women of [sic] assault and domestic violence. Please join us now.
We’ll be following this race on election night closely. It might have some impact on the Supervisorial race.
I hear the stories from over a hundred Santa Clarans about Caserta and his sexual misconduct with female students and wonder why its not documented somewhere. No doubt his passionately endorsing the recall Persky is damage control hoping to gain women supporters and to distract locals from the merc article on reporting teacher sexual misconduct. Like anything else, if you hear the same story about someone from 100 different people it’s not just a rumor.

___You people from Santa Clara County Board are SICK, and you have made the whole Santa Clara County SICK; Have you had the honesty to explain this public challenge, including the much heavier Gabriele Scheler’s Stanford Campus Atrocity Case (ATTACHED 7) which is suppressed by the same set of officers from Santa Clara DA’s Office led by Mr. Jeff Rosen who are overblowing Brock Turner-Emily Doe’s case, to people of Santa Clara County before you vote to approve this baseless Recall? If you have, how? If you haven’t, you have turned yourselves into COMPLICIT to such an obvious dishonest / misleading rogue Recall Judge Persky Campagin led by this ultra radical lady Ms. Michele Dauber in name of that insincere/dishonest girl ‘Emily Doe’, for that unethical opportunist Santa Clara Deputy DA Ms. Cindy Hendrickson, and for that unethical local lawyer Ms. Angela Storey;
___I’d suggest Santa Clara Authorities to be truthful to voters and print on such a ballot saying that: “Judge Persky’s sentence in Brock Turner-Emily Doe’s case is within the range of guidelines on recommendation of women probations officers; And when such ultra-radicals like Michele Dauber collect their signatures, they (Michele Dauber in name of ‘Emily Doe’, etc. ) had fed voters with dishonest / misleading information; Also, that girl ‘Emily Doe’ had her own misconducts (like she was binge-drinking alcohol and she had played with Brock Turner and there was sex innuendo in her behaviors during the party and that she’s dishonest in her description of the incident … )”
Santa Clara City Councilman Dominic Caserta had just made himself another TWO-BIT LOCAL THUG POLITICIAN to take advanage of such a Recall, since he had just repeated some already debunked lies made up by some local thug Recall Campaigners led by this dishonest ultra-radical extremist lady Michele Dauber; The whole Santa Clara County is so SICK that no local politician who’s talking about such a baseless Recall Judge Persky Campaign is honest or with any class!

___That girl ‘Emily Doe’ is not innocent at all; She had binge-drinking alcohol into oblivion by herself at a wild party and she had played with Brock Turner and there was sex innuendo in her behaviors at the party, all of which she claim to have no recollection; but she had also said that the incident is 100% non-consensual; if she didn’t remember, how so 100% sure? ‘Emily Doe’ had also publicly lied in her famous 7200 word essay; and her victim status is still in question unless her testimony could withstand public scrutiny under her real identity;
___The ‘priviledge perperators’ card had already been debunked; Here you are again, Mr. Caserta:___Brock Turner was publicly demonized in an over-blown incident in which both parties involved should be responsible for their behaviors, either sober or drunk; but only he was blamed while obvious misconducts by that girl ‘Emily Doe’ were ignored; And ‘Emily Doe’ was granted anonymity while Brock’s privacy was totally exposed in such a publicly discussed case; In addition to jail time, Judge Persky had also sentenced Brock for 3 years of probation and to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, which is very harsh and very tough to a young man of his age because he didn’t do a lifelong damage to her while she had publicly lied in her testimony which will molest the rest of his life in a long time to go; in contrast, Judge Persky didn’t sentence any penalty to that insincere and dishonest girl ‘Emily Doe’, and didn’t even mention her misconducts in such a sentence;___Where is his privilege, then, Councilman Dominic Caserta?
To all of those 94,539 who had signed up such a BASELESS Recall Judge Persky Campaign, to Santa Clara DA’s Office, to Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors and also to the Sixth District Court of Appeal

The real problems in all these mess are coming directly from the judicial system, some PRETENTIOUS and COWARDICE judicial officers (Could be Ms. Cindy Hendrickson) from Santa Clara DA’s Office led by Mr. Jeff Rosen, originated in their miscarriage of justice in both (1) the much-hyped Brock Turner-Emily Doe’s case and (2) the much-heavier Gabriele Scheler’s Stanford Campus Atrocity Case (http://alturl.com/xzzs6), but not from Brock Turner nor Judge Persky;
When you talk about Stanford Campus Atrocity Case, you got to also give a fair reference to the much heavier Gabriele Scheler’s Stanford Campus Atrocity Case [Stanford police case number: IR #04-111-0335; Victim: Peter Cao; Criminal Suspect: Gabriele Scheler]? It is a case in which a female had repeatedly and sexually assaulted a male; and the female criminal suspect had recanted her testimony later on and falsely accused the male victim on term of ‘sexual assault’ in order to escape from facing lawful consequences while retaliating on victims; While my statements are filled with real substance which can withstand public scrutiny, Scheler’s case was suppressed by the same set of officers from Santa Clara DA’s Office led by Mr. Jeff Rosen who are over blowing Brock Turner-Emily Doe’s case;___ So, as a victim of over 13 years, I have first hand experience talking about Stanford Campus Atrocity Case, and I know where the problem is and I’d be glad to share it with you;
Haven’t you all realized that it is officers from Santa Clara DA’s Office led by Ms. Dolores Carr / Mr. Jeff Rosen who are manipulating? In Scheler’s case such officers from Santa Clara DA’s Office had failed their lawful duty to clarify the case, failed to protect victims and failed to bring those fascists behind criminal suspect Scheler to justice; Even worse, such officers had even colluded with those fascists on side the criminal suspect Gabriele Scheler to retaliate on victims; Also it is Santa Clara DA Mr. Jeff Rosen who had co-founded (with Michele Dauber) this PHONY ‘Recall Judge Persky Campaign’, while one of the Santa Clara Deputy District Attorneys, Ms. Cindy Hendrickson, is waiting in line to take advantage of such a Rogue Recall; But I bet even Cindy can not present to us a valid legal reason to backup such a Rogue Prosecution against Judge Persky, either; Also worthy of mentioning is that during the hype of Brock Turner – Emily Doe’s case in 2016, Mr. Jeff Rosen had tried to play as a hero out of this case (though he remains a COWARD in Scheler’s case), and at the same time he had attempted at the post of California Attorney General after Ms. Kamala Harris left the vacancy, though he failed;
___So in both cases, it is Officers from Santa Clara DA’s Office, who are manipulating (they manipulatively suppressed Gabriele Scheler’s case while over-blowing Brock Turner-Emily Doe’s case); and their practice had greatly endangered the fairness and justice and the living safety of our society; by doing so, those officers from Santa Clara DA’s Office led by Ms. Dolores Carr / Mr. Jeff Rosen had turned themselves into the real menace to our society; ___isn’t that a fact now?
I appreciate the sentiment. But I think this is much more complicated than campus rape is rape, (duh) which is not up for review. I was really pissed about the decision and sentence but a judge is supposed to follow the law and I believe Persky did that. The problems are the laws and I think those need to be looked at. I’m still not decided who I will vote for in the supe race or how I will vote in the Persky recall. But Caserta literally made zero point in his video and seems like he has a small understanding of the issue at large. His response here is very uninspiring and appears to be mostly a publicity/vote grab.
The Recall Judge Persky is not a grassroot movement, but a local thugs movement, because the Recall Campaigners led by Ms. Michele Dauber had fed voters with lies, false accusations and censorship; There is NO RAPE, NO ASSAULT (and thus NO SEXUAL ASSAULT) in Brock Turner-Emily Doe’s case; The whole incident happened when two drunkies played hard at a wild party while things getting out of control; both parties involved should be responsible for their behaviors, either sober or drunk; but only Brock Turner was blamed while obvious misconducts by that girl ‘Emily Doe’ ignored; Emily Doe had lied publicly in her widespread 7200 word essay, and her victim status is still in question unless her testimony could withstand public scrutiny under her real identity; This rogue Recall Judge Persky is totally made up by some local thugs led by this dishonest ultra-radical extremist, Michele Dauber with that dishonest insincere naive girl ‘Emily Doe’ as prop; The Recall Proponents led by Michele Dauber are the ones who makes the Whole Santa Clara County SICK: They should be held responsible for the lawful consequences of all the conflicts generated through such a baseless Recall; Such a rogue Recall should not exist in the first place; and again There is NO RAPE, NO ASSAULT (and thus NO SEXUAL ASSAULT) in Brock Turner-Emily Doe’s case, end of the story!
