Here is a summary of City Council items scheduled for tomorrow:
-
Closed session conference with legal counsel-existing litigation — Gaffney, et al. v. City of Santa Clara, United States District Court, Northern District of California Case No. 5:18-cv-6500-NC. We don’t have much info on this except that it involves “Labor: Fair Standards.”
-
There will be a couple quarterly reports. One from Silicon Valley Power and one from the Convention Center.
-
Selecting a Relay for Life City Team Name for the 2019 American Cancer Society fundraiser — it is April 28-29 at Townsend Field at Buchser Middle School.
-
Introductory remarks from Santa Clara County District 4 Supervisor Susan Ellenberg. She’s our newly elected Supervisor. We’ll be interested to hear what she says about how the Assessor’s office may have lost one of the biggest assessment appeals in County history.
-
Council will consider approving resolutions to sell Great America Theme Park parcels located at 1 Great America Parkway to Cedar Fair. Price tag – $150.25 million. This is happening because the old Redevelopment Agency was eliminated by state law. They have to sell their assets.
