Free COVID-19 Testing Locations

By Robert Haugh

Santa Clara County residents have over 30 options for free COVID-19 testing.

Testing is provided at no cost to individuals, regardless of health insurance.

You have to schedule an appointment to get tested at most locations.

The only location in the Mission City is at Kaiser Permanente on Lawrence Expressway. But you have to be a Kaiser member and be referred by a Kaiser doctor for the test.

The next closest location for Santa Clara residents is El Camino Health Urgent Care at 19600 Vallco Parkway in Cupertino. They have drive-through testing.

Testing is available at that location for anyone who wants to be tested regardless of age.

You will need to present your ID or Social Security Number in order to be tested. Prior to being tested, you will need to be seen by one of their doctors.

The testing hours are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every day.

For more information about community testing sites and how to make an appointment, go to SCCfreetest.org.
