City Library Starts Curbside Pickup Service

By Robert Haugh

Yesterday, the Santa Clara City Library started contactless curbside pickup at Central Park Library.

Santa Clara residents can reserve books online and then pick them up at the Central Park Library after receiving a notice that items are available.

According to library staff, the Library served approximately 31 walk-up and 20 drive-up patrons.

Over 700 reserve notices went out Monday, June 15, and more than 2,600 items are currently on the Library’s hold shelf awaiting pick up.

Patrons who get a notice that their materials are ready to be picked up may visit Central Park Library, 2635 Homestead Road, during the following hours:

  • Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Wednesdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Residents should remember to wear face coverings if exiting their vehicle.
