The Good —The Leg Drop Award:
Kudos to Councilwoman Kathy Watanabe for helping our restaurants. A lot of them are struggling these days. Outdoor dining could help improve business. Because of her, the City is fast-tracking permits and waiving fees that could cost up to $6,000.
The Bad — The Jabroni Award:
No Jabroni this week.
Coming this fall from the creators of Parks And Recreation is a darker comedy based on Santa Clara politics….. wait for it….
Let’s hope it’s cancelled November 3. Keep the ship moving forward, Lisa and crew!!
Monica, I do not think we have met, but I am in total agreement with you. Santa Clara residents need to remain focus on what is best for our City. We are so close to being a company town, one election that goes wrong and Yorkville could be a reality. That scares me more than you can imagine.
Jed York and his company will never stop trying to take over this town. We are just 6 years into a 40 year agreement. Because I actually voted for the stadium, it is now on me to do all that I can to make sure Santa Clara somehow comes out on top of all of this.
I support our Mayor, new Chief of Police.
Santa Clara is my hometown and where I have raise my kids.
Have a great one, Burt Field
I’m pretty sure you tried to admonish Anthony for a record of being late. I’m not going to hunt for the video. I understand you are now on the same team.
Its absolutely disgusting the comments that are allowed on this site.
The planning commission was trying to remove Shawn Williams from the Planning Commission, not Anthony Becker. Shawn Williams did resign.
It hasn’t worked out well for you has its Sud’s. Isn’t it this going to be 0-4? When you were the chair of the planning commission I remember you were trying and remove Anthony Becker for being late several times. Such hypocrisy.
I can’t imagine any of Patty’s candidates having a chance as they have all historically lost in the past. Best of luck.
