AWARDS: Best and Worst of the Week — The City Council for Good COVID-19 Response, The North Valley Baptist Church for Bad COVID-19 Response

By Robert Haugh

The Good —The Leg Drop Award

The City Council continued to help Santa Clara residents in big and small ways this week.  They moved money to make sure garbage rates don’t go up during the pandemic. And they capped fees on delivery services to help out Mission City restaurants.

The Bad — The Jabroni Award:

The North Valley Baptist Church is holding services and violating County regulations on social distancing. That puts their congregation at risk and the public, too.

  1. I give “The Bad” award to the Santa Clara County, and the State of California for illegally doing this to this church, this is draconian and marxist. This is not a marxist country, the constitution of America gives them the right to assemble and worship, just like the Governor of California all the protesters the right to peacefully assemble. Both are allowed. The pastor there said they have no cases, so no virus can be spread if you don’t have it! They meet only a couple of hours a week, and have gone to 50% capacity according to the pastor on their video. But a mile or so away, hundreds of thousands per month gather at the SJC airport 24 hours per day and 168 hours per week and pack into terminals and planes.

The airport and churches and the grocery store etc… are essential. All are essential!
