AWARDS: Best and Worst of the Week — The Jed York Boogie and Harbir Bhatia and Anthony Becker for Getting Kicked Off Next Door

By Robert Haugh

It’s been a busy election season, so we haven’t given out awards in awhile. But this is a good week to do it.

The Good —The Leg Drop Award

The Jed York Boogie has been making people laugh all week. It’s also a good political hit on Jed for his spending.

The Bad — The Jabroni Award:

It says a lot when you get kicked off NextDoor. Two city council candidates have been kicked off the platform recently: Harbir Bhatia and Anthony Becker.

Maybe they should have read Nextdoor’s guidelines more carefully.

  1. Wow, I didn’t even know you could get kicked off Nextdoor. Just goes to prove, not everyone has read the book, “All I really need to know, I learned in Kindergarten”.
In “BIG” words it’s called the Ethic of Reciprocity. Most of us call it the “Golden Rule”.

Bottomline, treat others like you want to be treated.
I also trust people until they prove me wrong.
I believe people until they prove me wrong.

It’s done me well my whole life, except for one time…. 34 more years.
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

That might be a first grade book.

  2. You can see how desperate the 49er candidates are becoming. They pretty much will say or do anything to get elected.

For Anthony Becker this 4 year commitment would be the longest position he has held to date. Anything to get on Jed’s payroll.

    No Jackpot for Jed’s Candidates!
