This Sunday, at Levi’s Stadium, the 49ers will battle the Green Bay Packers. Kickoff is set for 5:20 p.m.
Fans will not be required to show proof of vaccination or have to show a negative COVID-19 test to enter the stadium.
Fans will also not be required to wear masks in their seats outdoors. But they will have to wear masks in indoor spaces like luxury suites and restrooms.
And if anyone gets sick the 49ers are making it clear, it’s not the team’s responsibility.

Three NFL teams now require proof of vaccination or a negative test for fans entering their stadiums for games. The Raiders, Saints and Seahawks. In a few weeks, the Rams will require it, too, because of a Los Angeles County Department of Public Health order.
Santa Clara County Department of Public Health is not being as strict as Los Angeles. Our County is following the looser state’s guidelines.
Right now in California, outdoor gatherings of 10,000 or more people are categorized as “mega events.” But the California Department of Public Health is only recommending, not requiring, that venues check the vaccination status of attendees. For indoor events, providing proof is required.
According to our County sources, the 49ers have been working with the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors and local public health officials on this policy. 49er President Al Guido has led the lobbying effort to follow the looser state guidelines.
I am excited to attend a game. I am healthy and so are my family members that are attending the game with me. We are not vaccinated and are not afraid of Covid. We will however wear our masks where we are needed to. This is our life and we make our own decisions on whether or not to be vaccinated, not others demanding it of us. I feel that people that are concerned should not attend. That is their right. I choose to, loved the 49ers and are very excited about the game. I do it every year in memory of my mother….last year I could not.
Of course they lobby fpr looser restrictions, thats one reason i hate the nfl, its all money, they wang taxpayers to fund their stadiums byt then take no responsibility, scumbags!
Maybe they are like the elite at the emmys and obama’s birthday. the elite need to make money so we can just ignore the rules. I’m not opposed to not wearing masks outside, I am opposed to exceptions.
What about the consession areas, bathrooms, and other indoor locations. Unless they now have toilets built into the seats and drones drop off all food, I don’t understand.

So that would mean instead of wearing masks, everyone follows social distancing rules, right? I can’t wait to see his reaction when he’s told that also applies to the team on the field. That makes tackling and blocking a bit harder than it was in practice. Maybe curfews aren’t such a bad thing by comparison.
Mayor London Breed must be attending. She doesn’t need to wear face masks. She just mandates face masks for everyone else.
