Last Friday, around midnight, a carjacking happened near the intersection of Homestead and Kiely in Santa Clara

Three males carjacked the vehicle. One shot a gun in the air before making off with the victim’s car. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident.

This week, the Santa Clara Police Department (SCPD) announced that Merced County Sheriff deputies tracked down and arrested the three male suspects in Gustine.

Police detectives obtained and executed a search warrant of the suspects’ residence and the stolen vehicle. They found some items belonging to the victim. They also confiscated two loaded firearms, according to SCPD.
