Best and Worst of (Last) Week in Santa Clara: Pride Ceremony and 49er Five Cover Up

By Robert Haugh

The Good — The Leg Drop Award:

Santa Clara raised the Pride flag at City Hall and excellent remarks were made by Mayor Lisa Gillmor, State Assemblyman Evan Low, State Senator Bob Wieckowski and Police Chief Pat Nikolai.

The Bad — The Jabroni Award:

Former City Attorney Brian Doyle discovered that Councilman Kevin Park did not report receiving any income from his employers as he’s legally required to do.

Doyle asked the City Council to agendize it for discussion so Park could explain. But the 49er Five blocked Doyle’s request. It looks like a cover up.

  1. Looking forward to the next release of embarrassing texts to showcase what these incompetents and their cohorts really are.

    • It’s amazing their own words
(or texts) will be their undoing.
      They have effectively sealed
      Their fate.
