Tomorrow’s Council meeting featured a packed agenda.
Here are highlights:

In closed session, Council will review the performance of City Manager Deanna Santana.

Council will approve displaying the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) Pride flag in June 2019, and annually each June.

The Council will hear an update on the Raymond G. Gamma Dog Park schematic design with synthetic turf and an update on the the Larry J. Marsalli Park site plan to include the off-leash dog areas.

A public hearing will occur on the formation of a new destination marketing organization (DMO) and the appointment of a Board of Directors.

Council will receive an update on the Santa Clara Convention Center transition activities.

There is a public hearing on the award of contracts for garbage (refuse) and recycling services. There are 12 applicants for contracts.

There is a public hearing on the Gateway Crossings project at 1205 Coleman Avenue which includes a General Plan Amendment to allow for more housing on the development that borders San Jose.

Councilmember Teresa O’Neill has requested the City participate in an “Innovation Zone,” in conjunction with the City of San Jose. The area is the Stevens Creek corridor.
