49ers Headed to Super Bowl

By Robert Haugh

It was a great game at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday when the 49ers won the NFC Championship by beating the Green Bay Packers, 37-20. Congratulations to the players and the franchise.

The team is headed to Miami for Super Bowl LIV on February 2, 2020. They’ll face the Kansas City Chiefs.

The 49ers are looking to win their sixth Super Bowl trophy to bring back to Santa Clara. The Chiefs are looking to win their second trophy. The last time they won a Super Bowl was 50 years ago. Wow.

Let’s hope the Chiefs aren’t hungrier than the 49ers to reward their fans.

Here are some important questions and answers leading up to the game:

Who’s favored to win?

The early betting has the Chiefs as one-point favorites.

What’s the easiest bet to win?

The over/under (total points scored) is 53.5.  We’ll take the over since both teams are scoring machines.

Who’s likely to be MVP?

For the Chiefs, QB Patrick Mahomes.

For the 49ers, TE George Kittle.

Who’s singing the national anthem?

Demi Lovato

Who’s the halftime show?

Jennifer Lopez and Shakira

And here are some questions for after the game:

Will coach Kyle Shanahan and General Manager John Lynch get contract extensions?

Let’s hope so.

Will the 49ers become more popular in Santa Clara if they win?

Yup, but they still have a long way to go.

Will city council candidates accept political contributions from the team in the future?

Probably not.

Will they build the youth soccer park they promised?

Doubtful.
