On Thursday, April Fool’s Day, the State will expand Covid-19 vaccine eligibility to residents who are age 50 and up.
But according to local government officials, it may be hard to get a vaccination in Santa Clara.
The County only received 58,000 doses this week from the State. That won’t be enough to vaccinate the 400,000 county residents who will become eligible to receive the vaccine on April 1.
Santa Clara County residents can get info on vaccine appointments at this website. There’s a way to check eligibility, find locations, transportation, and learn about the different vaccines.
There are also links to the following medical facilities that are offering vaccine shots.
- Santa Clara Valley Medical Center,
- Stanford,
- Kaiser,
- Palo Alto Medical Foundation,
- El Camino Health,
- Bay Area Community Health,
- the Veterans’ Administration, and
- some retail pharmacies.
