More Rain and Wind Today and Tomorrow, Santa Clara Opens Warming Locations Again

Is it springtime yet?

The National Weather Service forecasts rainy and windy weather today through Thursday, March 29. 

Some City facilities are being used as Respite /Warming Locations during regular operating hours. 

Those in need of respite from the rain can visit PrepareSCC.org/ColdWeather for a list of Respite/Warming Center locations in the County, including Santa Clara.

Here’s a list of the Respite/Warming Locations in Santa Clara: 

  • Santa Clara Senior Center (1303 Fremont St.), 
  • Community Recreation Center (969 Kiely Blvd.), 
  • Central Park Library (2635 Homestead Rd.), 
  • Mission Branch Library (1098 Lexington St.), and 
  • Northside Branch Library (695 Moreland Wy.).

These locations will be open on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., except for Central Park Library, which will be open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

  1. It isn’t going to get all that cold tonight, but if I were I would hope there would be someplace warm after 7PM. That’s when it starts getting cold.
