Happy New Year to the Mission City.
This should be a momentous year in Santa Clara.
Will we see the 49ers win a Super Bowl in February?
And will we see a parade in San Francisco?
Will Santa Clarans vote for Measures A and B, giving up their right to elect the City Clerk and Police Chief and give it to the City Manager?
Will we see indicted Councilmember Anthony Becker go to trial in March?
If he’s found guilty of leaking a Grand Jury report and lying about it, how muct time will he serve behind bars?
Will Santa Clara’s budget be in the black or red in June? And will we see any money from the 49ers from non-NFL stadium events?
Will Councilmembers Suds Jain and Kevin Park be re-elected in November after being tied so closely to the 49ers and being criticized by the Grand Jury?
Will Jed York open his wallet again to keep his friends on the City Council?
This should be another interesting year in Santa Clara.

Typically things have to get really bad before they can even begin to dream about getting better.
March 4th is a date I have circled on my calendar, how about you?

The best thing that can happen this year is 3 yutz’s are removed from office either through trial or an attempt to be reelected. The people need to step up for the Chief and democracy in Santa Clara!
