Santa Clara residents can bid farewell to their holiday trees next week.

Curbside collection is scheduled from January 8 to January 12, aligning with regular garbage pickup days.

Strip trees of all ornaments, tinsel, nails, and the tree stand before putting them curbside.

After January 12, trees must be cut into smaller pieces and placed in green yard trimmings carts.

Flocked trees must be disposed of differently. Chop them up and deposit the remnants in the garbage cart.

Winter Coat Drive:

Mission City residents can donate new or gently used coats to others in need by dropping them off before January 19 at collection boxes at these City locations:

• Mission Branch Library (1098 Lexington St)
• Central Park Library (2635 Homestead Rd)
• Northside Branch Library (695 Moreland Way)
• Community Recreation Center (969 Kiely Blvd)
