Santa Clara residents will get a chance to clean out homes and apartments.
This Saturday is Free Disposal Day, a convenient way to dispose of bulky and unwanted items.
Starting at 6 a.m. until 12 noon the following items will be accepted at the Mission Trail Waste Systems (MTWS) Transfer Station:
- Appliances, such as refrigerators, washing machines, and stoves
- Electronic waste (e-waste), such as computers, televisions, and printers
- Mattresses and box springs
- Furniture and other bulky items
- Up to one cubic yard of dirt, concrete, sod, brick, or rock
Appointments are required for Free Disposal Day. Residents can schedule their appointment by calling MTWS at 408-727-5365 between January 8th and 19th.
Proof of residency is required.
Hazardous waste, such as paint, flammable liquids, and pesticides, will not be accepted.
Residents are responsible for unloading their own vehicles.
