The Santa Clara Police Department is actively seeking community members to join its Chief’s Advisory Committee.
This volunteer group plays a crucial role in shaping the department’s policies and initiatives by advising Police Chief Pat Nikolai and the department.
Committee members provide input on a wide range of issues, including public safety, community relations, and crime prevention.
Past projects have included developing a crisis communication plan, addressing mental health concerns, and reviewing the city’s smoking ordinance.
Those interested in serving a two-year term from October 2024 to October 2026 can apply online by Friday, August 16, 5 p.m.
The committee typically meets quarterly.
