Tomorrow’s Santa Clara City Council meeting has only a few routine items.
Here are the agendized items:
- Proclamation of September 2024 as World Alzheimer’s Month
- Public Hearing: Approval of the 2023-2024 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
- Public Hearing: Action on four Corrective Amendments to the Zoning Map that Resolve inconsistencies with the City’s General Plan Land Use Diagram, for 4995 Patrick Henry Drive / 3005 Democracy Way; 807 Washington Street; 1435 Lewis Street and 1430 and 1448 Madison Street; and 2805 Bowers Avenue.
- Action on Resolutions Accepting the Monroe Street Bikeway Planning Study, selecting a Preferred Design Concept and, as appropriate, taking related Actions regarding parking and curb modifications
- Consideration of Action on a request from Councilmember Suds Jain for City sponsorship or other support for GEN Grow Empower Nurture’s September 28, 2024 Diwali Celebration at Live Oak Park. The City’s event grant policy requires community organizers to make a request at least 90 days prior to an event. The request was filed by the group on September 12– just 14 days before Jain wants the Council to decide funding.

Now Jain claims closed sessions should be the place for Super Bowl and Fifa talks.
