Santa Clara Police Department to Reopen Northside Substation

By Robert Haugh

The Santa Clara Police Department will reopen the Northside Police Substation on Saturday, April 5, 2025.

The substation, located at 3992 Rivermark Parkway in Rivermark Village, aims to improve police visibility and provide easier access to law enforcement services for residents on the Northside.

Former City Councilmember Kathy Watanabe, who prioritized the reopening of the substation, said: “I am glad that increased staffing levels of SCPD, especially CSOs (community service officers), will allow for the reopening of the Northside substation.

“As the district continues to grow, it is imperative that there be sufficient access to public safety and services. Who knows, there may be a need for another substation in the future. People definitely feel safer when they know they have access to their police department.”

Starting April 7, 2025, the substation will offer the following services:

  • Filing police reports
  • Fix-it ticket sign-offs
  • General assistance and information

The substation will be open during the following hours:

  • Monday – Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Friday: Closed
  • Saturday – Sunday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

For more information, contact the substation at 408-615-4744.
