Last night in the Santa Clara City Council Chambers, names were randomly drawn by City Clerk Bob O’Keefe to serve on the Bond Compliance Oversight Committee.
The Committee will oversee the $400 million infrastructure bond approved by voters in November 2024. It’s tasked with ensuring transparency, reviewing audits, and advising the City Council on bond expenditures.
There was some anxiety in the community caused by the application of convicted felon and former Vice Mayor Anthony Becker to serve as the District 6 representative.
But Becker’s name wasn’t picked. Becker-friendly allies Mary Grizzle and William Schuck were not selected in District 6 either.
Here are the selected members and their alternates. Congratulations to them.

Large Business Representative:
Arthur Hall – Bill Wilson Center (only applicant)
Small Business Representative:
Nader Haddad – Modern Technologies and Resources
Alternate: Fen Zhang – CollTech North America
City Council District 1:
Gaurav Dutta
Alternate: Hee Sung Kang
City Council District 2:
Brian Tickler
Alternate: Jayakumar Natarajan
City Council District 3:
Sandy Rodrigues
Alternate: Murali Krishna Devarakonda
City Council District 4:
Ruby Pomerleau
Alternate: Frank Mangini
City Council District 5:
Edem Ibragimov
Alternate: Kevan Michael Walke
City Council District 6:
Anurag Dixit
Alternate: Alok Agarwal
At Large:
Mathew Clopp (District 4 resident)
Neeraj Tandon (District 2 resident)
I have recently been recovering from some injuries due to household accidents, but I am asking for public records dealing with Becker and grizzle,
we tried to watch this on TV. However, even though it was live, the last city council meeting audio played over the video. Since this was after 530pm, and I expect that city offices are closed, there is no one to call in city offices to advise them of this. We did find it on Facebook, so we were able to watch and hear. It was done very fairly. Bob O’Keefe did a great job.
