SpooktaClara is back! The city’s annual Halloween bash for kids returns this Saturday, Oct. 25, from 12 to 4 p.m. at Central Park, 909 Kiely Blvd.
The event, presented by Silicon Valley Power, promises an afternoon packed with games, crafts, and candy galore.
Families are encouraged to bring little ghosts and goblins — ages 10 and under — in costume for a safe, fun Halloween celebration. The party takes place in the Meadow Area by Bob Fatjo Field.
Here’s the entertainment lineup:
- 12:15 p.m. – Santa Clara Library Story Time
- 1 p.m. – Fur, Scales, and Tails Animal Show
- 2 p.m. – Germar Magic Show
- 3 p.m. – Sean’s Music Factory
Trick or Treat Row, sponsored by Edgecore Digital Infrastructure, will be the sweetest spot in the park. Kids can collect treats from decorated booths — while supplies last — so bring a goodie bag.
The Pumpkin Walk and Carnival Games area brings back classic Halloween fun. Show off your costume, dance your way through the pumpkin walk, and maybe take home a pumpkin if your number gets called.
Creative spirits can stop by the Arts & Crafts Booth, where kids can make and color Halloween-themed art to take home.
And don’t worry — there’s plenty for parents too. Local food vendors like Kona Ice, Lucy’s Fruits, BBQ Kalbi, 3 Hermanos Mexican Grill, and Cruising Cafes will serve up tasty bites and cool treats.
There will be some new features this year. Kids can burn off energy in Halloween obstacle courses — dash, crawl, and climb through a maze of spooky fun. Then, slow things down at the Once Upon a Pony Petting Zoo, featuring bunnies, goats, and other furry friends ready for hugs and photos.
SpooktaClara has become one of Santa Clara’s most beloved family traditions. Admission is free, and no registration is required.
