Santa Clara’s own Ryan Lind, just 11 years old, delivered a performance well beyond his years at the 2025 U.S. Kids Golf World Championship in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Competing against top players from around the world, Lind shot a 10-under-par 206 over three days to claim the Boys 11 title. His steady, confident play included 15 birdies and a spectacular eagle on the par-5 4th hole during his second round, where he also carded a blazing 64, the best round in his age group.

Lind’s rounds of 69, 64, and 73 kept him ahead of challengers Jayden Wei of Florida, Jax Roberts, and Eli Seals, who tied for third. Skyy Wilding of Thailand completed the top five.

It was a breakthrough moment for the young Santa Claran, whose mix of precision and composure suggests this won’t be his last time in the winner’s circle.
