Santa Clara News Online Survey: What’s Suds Jain’s Worst Offense (If Any)?

By Robert Haugh

Recall proponents list three main complaints about Councilmember Suds Jain.

View the survey below or click here.

Which ONE of these do you think is the worst and most “recall-worthy,” if any?

“Wasting millions”
Supporting the highest-paid City Hall leadership in Santa Clara history and led efforts that recall supporters say have “wasted millions” in taxpayer money.

“Hiding a crime”
Recall supporters say Jain knew Anthony Becker committed a crime but did not disclose it until he was forced to by a Grand Jury, and that he has led the decline of ethics in city government.

“Ignoring neighborhoods”
Ignoring District 5 neighborhoods on issues like noise, parking, safety, and downtown, while pushing policies that residents say make things worse, like paid parking at the Franklin Mall.

None of these is recall-worthy
I don’t think any of these complaints justify a recall.

Suds Jain’s greatest offense is that he cares nothing for the people. He believes he is smarter than the people, and it is responsible to tge people. Jain is not a fascist, or a community. Jain is Jainshevik.
