Now, seeing candidates like Gary Ferraris and Kimberley Williams take campaign support from a donor embroiled in legal scandals and moral controversies completely guts their credibility before they even take office. Taking political cash from a tarnished figure sends a clear signal that campaign funding matters more to them than the public trust. What would actually impress voters is if both candidates stood up, repudiated, and completely rejected Jed York and his immoral behavior—both personally and in terms of what he has done to our city. Santa Clara doesn’t need leaders who are indebted to corrupt, deep-pocketed interests. How has that worked for us so far???
Boy, Jed York sure knows how to pick em. I thought it was bad when his hand picked candidate Anthony Becker was selected for Mayor, now we have someone who potentially could be worse, Gary Ferraris.
It’s gonna be tough hiding him from the public before November voting. It makes sense that Becker and Ferraris are close friends…birds of a feather.
Even putting an ill fitting suit on this puppet won’t be enough. At some point he will have to legitimately speak, then all doubt will be removed. He is unqualified, unprepared, has no idea about current city issues, yet, he already sold out the City to Jed, just for a seat on the Dias.
And his buddy Cliff Mayers, his campaign manager, is so dense, he is bragging about his “new” relationship with the 49ers as if he matters to them. He doesn’t even realize it’s illegal for Gary’s campaign to coordinate with Jed York’s campaign.
