A café has returned to Santa Clara’s Central Park Library for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic.
The new café opened last week and serves coffee, pastries, Asian desserts, fresh salads and other items.
It is operated by Latin & Asian Hospitality Group, a Bay Area hospitality company that combines Latin and Asian culinary influences.
The previous café at Central Park Library closed during the pandemic and did not reopen.
City Librarian Patty Wong said the café adds another gathering space inside one of the City’s busiest public facilities.
“Central Park Library is more than a place to borrow books — it is a community gathering space where people learn, connect, collaborate and spend time together,” Wong said.
According to the City, Central Park Library receives nearly 553,000 visitors annually.
The café is open five days a week:
- Tuesday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Wednesday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Thursday: 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Friday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Saturday: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Central Park Library is located at 2635 Homestead Road.
