AWARDS: Best and Worst of the Week —  Volunteers Who Help and Stadium Execs Who Have Conflict of Interests

By Robert Haugh

The Good — The Leg Drop Award:

Kudos to the volunteers like Linda Knepper and Martine Chirayath who showed up yesterday to help with the community clean-up of Agnew’s Historic Cemetery. But let’s hope the City maintains both it’s cemeteries without relying on volunteers in the future.

The Bad — The Jabroni Award:

49ers Exec Jim Mercurio was caught getting stock from stadium vendors. Oakland Coliseum CEO Scott McKibben stepped down recently for doing something similar. They both may have violated conflict of interest laws.
