Today, the State moved Santa Clara County into the Purple Tier. It’s the most restrictive category in the State’s “Blueprint for a Safer Economy.”
The Purple Tier means the following indoor activities are prohibited for the following businesses and organizations:
- restaurant dining
- political events
- places of worship
- gyms and fitness facilities
- family entertainment centers
- zoos and aquariums
However, these businesses and activities may operate outdoors only.
COVID-19 Testing in Santa Clara
Testing is available at the Central Park Library on Wednesday, November 25, December 9 and December 23, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Appointments can be scheduled 7 days before the testing date. Once all appointments are filled, this location will no longer appear for scheduling on the County’s website.
Patients will be notified by email or text when test results are ready in 2 to 4 days.

For other locations outside of Santa Clara, check out the County’s COVID-19 testing location website.
I have a question about the testing. Is there anything in particular I should study for the test?
