Prometheus Donates $25,000 to JW House in Santa Clara

By Robert Haugh

Prometheus Apartments donated $25,000 toward an apartment that will be part of JW House’s existing Overnight Stay program in Santa Clara.

Prometheus is the largest private owner of multi-family properties in the San Francisco Bay Area,

JW House provides support services to families dealing with a medical crisis. JW House’s Overnight Stay program offers housing at complimentary or subsidized rates.

The apartment is an extended-stay “home” for people who have a family member in treatment at a Silicon Valley hospital.

Prometheus Family Suite, a JW House Program, is located five minutes from Kaiser Permanente’s Santa Clara Medical Center.

It’s set up for caregivers who require long-term housing from two weeks to two months. The apartment is fully furnished.

“We feel so fortunate that this partnership with Prometheus Apartments will give JW House families more nights of rest than ever before,” said Stephanie Kavanagh, Board President of JW House.

“The goal of this project is to provide more than just lodging. We want to create a true “home away from home,” she said.
