Tomorrow’s Santa Clara City Council meeting is mostly a closed session, with a performance review of City Attorney Glen Googins and a discussion on the 49ers’ lawsuit against the City.
The timing of this discussion is happening less than 60 days before the start of indicted Councilmember Anthony Becker’s trial.
It’ll be interesting to see if the 49ers Five, including Becker, settle with the 49ers and give them what the team wants, as they’ve done with past legal settlements.
It’ll also be interesting to see if the budget shows that the 49ers are still withholding revenues that should be going to the City’s general fund.
Here all the agendized items:
- Closed Session — Public Employee Performance Evaluation — City Attorney — Process for Evaluation
- Closed Session — Conference with Legal Counsel – Existing Litigation — Forty Niners SC Stadium Company LLC v. Santa Clara Stadium Authority, JAMS Consolidated Case No. 1110024318
- Study Session — Discussion of the proposed Santa Clara Stadium Authority Fiscal Year 2024/25 Operating, Debt Service and Capital Budget and Stadium Authority Budget, Compliance and Management Policies
