More Housing Planned for Oracle’s Santa Clara Office Campus Site

By Robert Haugh

Housing plans are in motion for a new development on part of Oracle’s Santa Clara office campus.

Valley Oak Partners is leading the charge on this 38-acre project. They aim to build hundreds of homes connected by open spaces. The application cites the Builder’s Remedy to speed up construction.

The “Builder’s Remedy” is a state law that applies only to a housing development project “for very low, low or moderate-income households,” in this case.

The project will transform a chunk of the Oracle Campus. Oracle had previously downsized and put up 53 acres of their 81-acre site for sale in 2022.

The iconic Clock Tower, once part of the Agnews campus, will stay.

A total of 584 units are planned. This includes 120 affordable apartments, 416 townhomes, and 48 single-family homes.

These homes will be grouped into three neighborhoods, each with its own park.

According to Valley Oak Partners, the affordable apartments and three-story townhomes will sport a modern look. Meanwhile, the two-story townhomes and single-family homes will have a more traditional style.

The development won’t just be houses. Almost seven acres of public space will include a soccer field, basketball court, playgrounds, and dog parks.
