Get ready to dance under the stars. Santa Clara’s annual Street Dance returns tonight Friday, August 1, transforming Franklin Street into an open-air festival of live music, food, and community celebration.
Admission is free.
The event runs from 6 to 9:30 p.m. on the 1300–1400 blocks of Franklin Street. Streets will be closed to traffic to make room for dancing, dining, and family fun.
Headliner Neon Velvet takes the stage at 7 p.m., delivering high-energy hits and crowd favorites. Food trucks and vendors will offer a wide range of treats, while local shops around the venue welcome visitors to browse and buy before the party starts.
What to Know Before You Go:
- Bring chairs or blankets—seating isn’t provided.
- Restrooms will be available onsite.
- Bike parking is available near the Franklin Square post office and the Monroe Street bus stop.
- Parking is limited: walk, bike, carpool, or take public transit if possible.
Traffic & Parking Info:
- Franklin Street between Jefferson and Monroe closes to traffic starting Friday at 10 a.m. (1300 block) and 2 p.m. (1400 block).
- Madison Street between Benton and Homestead is restricted to local access only from 9 a.m. to midnight.
- No-parking zones will be enforced. Vehicles may be ticketed ($53 minimum) and towed (fees apply).
- The Suds Jain Paid Parking Plan is being studied, but not in place yet.
