Here’s an interesting event for wrestling fans of all ages, and it’s just a short drive from Santa Clara tomorrow.

The San Mateo County History Museum in Redwood City will host a talk on the heyday of professional wrestling at the Cow Palace.

Jim Fitzpatrick, a former Bay Bombers roller derby skater who later became a wrestling photographer, will speak on Saturday, September 6 at 1 p.m. 

He’ll cover events from 1960 to 1981 and share behind-the-scenes stories about legends like Andre the Giant, Haystacks Calhoun and Pepper Gomez.

The presentation is part of the Museum’s current exhibit, The Extraordinary Cow Palace. 

The Museum is located at 2200 Broadway in Redwood City.
