On Saturday, the Recall Suds Jain volunteers received a surprise visit at their table from convicted felon and former Vice Mayor Anthony Becker.
Becker was with his husband, Abel Cardona, and they were not happy.
According to multiple witnesses, they got into shouting matches with three people at the Recall table.
“Anthony was yelling and making no sense,” said organizer David Kertes.”And there were many insults from Anthony’s husband. People stopped and watched and could not believe the way Anthony was acting.”
“This was the best advertisement I could get. If this is what Suds’ supporters act like, we are in good shape,” he said.
The Recall campaign is making Jain’s actions to withhold information about Becker’s criminal activity a major issue.

- Looked the other way on serious misconduct allegations against Councilmember Anthony Becker, failing to report them in a timely manner and betraying public trust.
- Stood by a convicted felon and publicly advocating leniency for Becker after his felony conviction, instead of upholding integrity and the rule of law.
- Rejected accountability by opposing an independent ethics commission recommended by the Civil Grand Jury, shielding politicians from scrutiny rather than demanding higher standards.
By his actions on Saturday, Becker doesn’t seem happy to be back in the spotlight. Almost exactly a year ago, Becker became the first Santa Clara City Councilmember in history to be convicted of a felony.
“It was his (Becker’s) attempt at a heckler’s veto at the Farmer’s Market,” said Recall volunteer Howard Myers.
According to two sources, Cardona took a campaign button from the table and suggested that Myers commit an unnatural act with it on Kertes.
One market attendee videotaped the incident but would not confirm if it would be used for a police report or a campaign video.
According to the Recall organizers, they collected signatures from people who once supported Jain.
“Two people made a point to say they had voted for Suds, but they are so disappointed in what he has not done that they both signed the petition,” said Kertes.
It appears that there is something organically (medically) wrong with TonyBecker. His demonstrated delusions about his importance seem to indicate that he is not a well man

to shake off those personas and just

And how does he do it? Attack a revered
gentleman in our community with a
nefarious suggestion of what to do with
a campaign button and David Kertes.

As stated Cardona and Becker committed a violation of the Election Code.

You are 100% correct about Abel. He also had the Facebook page under LaLa. There he made many false accusations about people running against Becker as generally trashed those that he and his convicted felon husband didn’t like.
Isn’t Becker still on probation? Hope someone reports this to his probation officer. Go back to the court and reopen case. Obviously, Becker learned nothing.
What has chronicled here is Anthony Becker”s hatred for Santa Clara. Santa Clara is considered the Mayberry of Silicon Valley. Suds Jain has a emotional problem with this, as does Becker. People of all faiths, orientations, creeds, nationalities want this very much. Jain and Becker despise this yearning with a passion. Ask yourself who would have such a desire to have an irrational outburst?
Ps, it is a matter for the City Attorney.
I seriously doubt anyone is surprised by Tony Becker’s poor public reaction.
Imagine just how fast this has all fallen apart for him.
