Now that the Big game, Super Bowl 60 is behind us, we move onward. Congrats to the Seattle Seahawks on their triumph.
There is a discussion on where to host the 4th of July celebration. Levi’s Stadium isn’t listed as an option.
Tomorrow’s Santa Clara City Council meeting has the following agendized items:
- Proclamation of February 2026 as Black History Month
- Review and Approve the Library Strategic Plan and Library Facilities Master Plan
- Review and Approve the Senior Advisory Commission and Youth Commission Annual Workplans for FY 2025-2026; and Discuss Potential Joint Dinners or Special Annual Event(s) between the Council and Boards, Commissions, and Committees
- Staff Request for City Council Direction on the 250th Anniversary Fourth of July Community Celebration

Bring the 4th of July celebration back to Central park. Add rides, games, food booths, craft booths. Make it an all day family picnic/celebration 🙂
There was a time, when needed, citizens were asked to donate to keep the fireworks alive.
We did.
Fireworks at Central Park was a BIG EVENT.
Celebrating this country, especially on its 250th birthday, seems NOT to be important to some folks now in Santa Clara, especially those agnostic (on city council) to the true sacrifices of those who made July 4th happen.
