Santa Clara library supporters will have a chance to raise money for the city’s public library system next month at a Library Giving Day event at Taplands.
The fundraiser is scheduled for Wednesday, April 1, starting at 7 p.m.
Organizers said a portion of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to benefit the Santa Clara City Library Foundation and Friends, which supports the Santa Clara City Library. Attendees will also have the option to make additional donations.
The event is also being promoted as a chance for “friendraising,” bringing together library supporters for an evening at the bar.
Seating will be first come, first served. Trivia teams will be limited to four people or fewer.

Organizers encouraged attendees to arrive early.

I love a party, but doesn’t a portion of the thousands of tax dollars I pay on a SS income cover library costs? Sorry to sound like Scrooge, but people (seniors) can barely afford to keep their homes these days
