Santa Clarans celebrated National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign held on the first Tuesday of August that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer. It features block parties, cookouts, and visits from local emergency personnel.
Goals of the event include building positive relationships between law enforcement and local residents, increasing awareness about crime and drug prevention, fostering a strong sense of community spirits, and providing safety tips and family-friendly activities.
