Santa Clara’s Final Concert in the Park Wraps Up Tonight

By Robert Haugh

Santa Clara’s summer concert season gets one last encore Friday night.

The Santa Clara Cultural Commission will wrap up its 2026 Concerts in the Park series with Aja Vu, a Bay Area band known for performing the music of Steely Dan and Chicago, along with a mix of jazz, rock, R&B and pop.

The free concert is tonight, Friday, Aug. 14, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Live Oak Park, 641 Moreland Way.

Aja Vu specializes in polished, horn-driven sounds. So expect plenty of familiar songs and probably more than a few audience members who know every word.

The Santa Clara City Library Bookmobile will also be at the park, giving concertgoers a chance to browse books between songs or before the music starts.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase from several vendors, including Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck, Chubby’s Chick’n, La Burbuja, Oaxaca Tamales Express, Luv’s Brownies and The Cookout.

Alcohol is not permitted at the event.

Parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood, but City officials warn that spaces may be limited. Walking, biking or carpooling is encouraged for anyone who can make that work.

The concert marks the final performance of Santa Clara’s 2026 Concerts in the Park series, which has brought free live music to parks around the city throughout the summer.

So if you haven’t made it to one yet, Friday is your last chance.

Bring a blanket or lawn chair, grab some food and enjoy one more summer evening of live music before Santa Clara’s Concerts in the Park season takes its final bow.
