Wilcox Football Hosts Los Gatos

Wilcox High School Fitzpatrick Field, 7 p.m.

The Wilcox Chargers (2-2, 1-0) host the Los Gatos Wildcats (1-3) in a De Anza division clash. The Chargers are coming off of back-to-back wins – a 35-0 rout over San Benito (3-1) on Sept. 15 and a 49-11 win over Los Altos at Levi’s Stadium on Sept. 23 in the Chargers’ division opener.

Senior QB David Hernandez and sophomore RB Paul Rosa, Jr. lead the Chargers’ offense.

Diwali is a traditional Indian festival of thanksgiving. It celebrates the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, hope over despair, and good over evil. Celebrated throughout the world, typical Diwali traditions include family and friends gathering to light lamps, exchanging gifts, new clothes, meeting new and old friends, and offering traditional sweets.

The event features a Kids Zone featuring a magic show, petting zoo, pony rides, jump houses, face painting, Diwali storytelling time and opportunity to take pictures with Hanuman & Ravan.

There will be a special fashion show featuring the sarees of India, in addition to classical dances from the various regions of India and popular Bollywood dances.

Juggler Greg Frisbee

Greg Frisbee’s amazing show includes juggling, eye-popping and jaw-dropping tricks, comedy, and great fun for all ages!

Frisbee performs his solo comedy variety show at events around the world. He has performed in all 50 states, on cruise ships and in more than 20 countries. Seating is first-come, first-served.

Santa Clara City Library Comic Con

Central Park Library, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Santa Clara City Library is bringing together Bay Area artists, comic book shops, cosplayers, makers and authors for the second annual Santa Clara City Library Comic Con. A full day of panels and workshops from special guests is included, as well as activities like virtual reality gaming, anime showings and hands-on crafts for all ages. Expect to meet some of your favorite costumed characters.
