There will be major work done on Lafayette Street this week.  

On Wednesday, August 21 and Thursday, August 22, 2019, between 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., one lane will be closed. 

Take an alternate route you know or use the Waze app to find your way around the closures.

Here are some more details from City staff:

Work Locations: 

1. Lafayette Street from Lewis Street to Lexington Street (West side of the street- Southbound direction)

2. Lafayette Street from Newhall Street to Poplar Street (East side of the street-Northbound direction)

Description of Work:

• Slurry seal pavement treatment of the trench (5‘ wide) on Lafayette Street

Restrictions and Detours:

• No parking within the limits of work on the work days

• One lane closure during the operation

• No traffic on the new pavement treatment until fully cured (dependent upon weather/temperature)
