The Good — The Leg Drop Award:
Last month in a report, the Santa Clara County Civil Grand Jury body slammed the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) for being one of the worst transportation agencies in the nation.
The Santa Clara City Council will reply to the report with suggestions. Other cities look like they want to do something about it, too. We wish them luck.
The Bad — The Jabroni Award:
The VTA. See above.
They’re also the Congestion Management Agency. Maybe they shouldn’t be.
Grand Jury did a great job this year not only did they slam the chaotic VTA but they also slammed the City of Santa Clara for poor Public Records Compliance. They do deserve the Best of the Week, or the year too.
VTA being the “bad” is so true.
I took VTA for 7 months in-between cars and it was a major hassle and is now proving if we push this high density movement that the VTA needs to modify to New York like transportation systems that are more often and more reliable.
