Tomorrow’s Santa Clara City Council and Stadium Authority meeting will address many items. It starts at 3:30 p.m.
Here’s the main topics:
-
During closed session, The Related Companies are discussing negotiations on leases/purchasing several City-owned parcels, including the Tasman parking garage (2525 Tasman Drive) and 5001 Great America Parkway. Looks like an expansion of their project.
-
Also in closed session are two litigation items regarding David’s Restaurant. One has the City as a plaintiff and another has the City as a defendant.
-
Council and staff will recognize Police Chief Mike Sellers for his service to the City and celebrate his retirement. He won’t finish his term and is scheduled to step down this weekend. Wonder if any of his “accomplishments” will be mentioned.
-
There’s a public hearing on the Freedom Circle Specific Plan and general plan amendment for the Greystar Development.
-
More discussion on Proclaiming a Section of El Camino as “Korea Town.”
Next time I am voting for Chief, I will definitely check when they’re eligible for retirement. Seems like the the next batch has the same issue.
The retirement benefits seems seem to rule.
