The Good — The Leg Drop Award:
The Santa Clara County Civil Grand Jury called major attention to the problems with the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) a couple of months ago. Kudos to the Grand Jury subcommittee members who worked on their report. They had a lot of charts and data to back up their point that VTA is poorly run. It’s basically the worst transit agency in the nation.
(Another Grand Jury subcommittee on another subject didn’t do nearly as much homework).
The Bad — The Jabroni Award:
You would think that the VTA would appreciate anyone trying to help them out with ideas on how to get better. You would be thinking wrong.
The VTA thumbed their nose at the Grand Jury with their response a couple of weeks ago. Now we know why VTA will never improve.
