The City’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program helps low-income Santa Clarans pay a portion of their unpaid rents.
To prevent low-income households from becoming homeless, Mission City residents can get assistance with past due rent payments that have accumulated during the COVID-19 crisis.
The application deadline for the third round of funding is this Friday, April 23, 2021.
Here are the eligibility requirements:
- Reside in Santa Clara
- Have accumulated past due rents from March 2020 – April 2021
- Have a household income that does NOT exceed 80% of Area Median Income
Here are the income limits based on household size:
Residents can get up to six (6) consecutive months of past due rents. The amount cannot exceed 85 percent of the Actual Rent or Fair Market Rent, whichever is less. Here’s the chart:
