The Good — The Leg Drop Award:
The Santa Clara Parade of Champions will get up to $60,000 for in-kind services from the City. This a great community event and worth the expense.
The Bad — The Jabroni Award:
The 49er Five voted to give the 49ers almost $8,000 to send a couple of team employees to one concert and one conference. Wow.
$2,500 of that amount will be to “entertain” people, including a band that’s already scheduled to play at Levi’s Stadium in a few months. Double wow.
Now that Santa Clara has been bought and paid for, San Jose is next on the list. $300K is just a down payment. Watch out Sunnyvale you be next.
