The 49ers want to negotiate a legal settlement in a closed session with a City Council that they control. This is wrong.
In the interest of transparency and honesty, we strongly urge the City Council to:
- Have the deal discussed in public, not in a back room.
- Have independent experts evaluate the settlement.
