The Santa Clara City Council Chambers were packed as Santa Clara Mayor Lisa Gillmor, Councilmembers Raj Chahal, and Karen Hardy were sworn in to serve another term.
They each won re-election in November.
The crowd consisted of mostly family members, friends, and supporters.
After the ceremonial swearing in and brief remarks, the meeting was concluded and cake was served to the attendees.
The next regularly scheduled City Council meeting is scheduled for January 10, 2023. There is a special Council meeting on Friday, December 16 at 3 p.m., though no agenda has been published.

Wow, love seeing our Mayor with her family, that first picture is literally worth $4.5 Million to me.
Now the next two, I have a hard time trying to figure out what is going on.
My first guess they are just playing a game of “Jed Says”!!
In this game,
Jed says, “Grab a microphone and put up your right hand”.
Jed says, “Close your eyes”.
Jed says, “Sell out your neighbors and friends”.
It’s either that, or Hardy and Jain are just Sleepwalking again. Honestly they both do less damage to our City when they are asleep, so let them rest.

I wish Cryin’ Karen was calling for the check and would just leave.
Raj needs to resign. He knows he has done wrong. His remarks on Tuesday indicated a person who was very defensive about his term in office.
Raj ji, no matter how you try to justify yourself you just dig a deeper hole. One that you hopefully cannot climb out of.
