City Council calendars were extra light during November.

Most notable, all three 49ers Five candidates, Anthony Becker, Raj Chahal and Karen Hardy had no recorded meetings with the 49ers. None.

All three were on the November ballot and had over $4 million of the team’s money being spent on their behalf. Looks like they didn’t want to be seen as illegally coordinating. 

Becker, Chahal and Hardy combined to have only 10 meetings in addition to Council meetings. 

Vice Mayor Suds Jain and Kevin Park both had multiple meetings with the 49ers. They were not on the November ballot so had no issues with coordinating with the the team.

Did they communicate with Becker, Chahal, or Hardy?  Maybe that’s a topic for another Grand Jury report to figure out.

Jain lists topics of his four 49ers meetings as: Taylor Swift, Quarterly NNE reports, major events counts for Levi’s, Popular Science, FlyOver noise, Q1 financials, Rahul Chandhok meeting with Jeremy Schmidt (Santa Clara POA President), SVLG event at Levis, Performance Rent, Grand Jury, James Rowen, Parking at non-NFL events, Meeting with a resident.

Park does not list topics for his two 49ers meetings. 

Mayor Lisa Gillmor and Councilmember Kathy Watanabe had no meetings with the 49ers.

December calendars are posted in mid-January. It’ll be interesting to see if the team resumes the meetings with their financial beneficiaries.
