Northside Library Family Storytime

Northside Library, 695 Moreland Way

10:30 to 11 a.m.

Connect for a fun, interactive storytime. Storytime is a magical time for children of all ages and abilities to learn and interact with one another. Library staff will share stories, songs, rhymes, finger plays and movement. Grownups can also learn some tips for engaging kids in early literacy.

Fundraiser with Girls on the Run Silicon Valley

Jiaren Cafe, 1171 Homestead Road #140b

10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

20 percent of proceeds will go to Girls on the Run, an organization dedicated to teaching young girls self-confidence and skills to navigate life. When you buy a drink with the intention to support this fundraiser, make sure to tell the barista.

Girls on the Run programs equip girls with the tools they need to practice positive self-talk, courageously to step outside their comfort zones and use their unique star power to stand up for others. These tools — and more — help girls navigate life’s difficult situations and go on to create a world filled with more light, love and empowerment.
